Specification check

counterbalance lift truck

Use this page to compare electric, internal-combustion and other power choices for a counterbalance lift truck as buyer options. Electric Counterbalance Forklift Sourcing does not rank a winner and does not treat a battery truck as universally greener or cheaper.

The open choices are battery voltage and charger type, available three-phase or single-phase supply, indoor emission limits, lifts per hour and whether the same unit must leave a closed warehouse. Verify those inputs before accepting an alternative powertrain that only matches a nameplate capacity.

Decision grid, not a scoreboard

Cells are questions to copy into the RFQ. They are not measured results from this desk.

Electric pack

Ask for battery voltage, amp-hour class, charger type and change-out clearance. A 36 V versus 48 V note is a specification, not a quality grade.

Indoor combustion

If a buyer still wants a fuel truck for the same counterbalance geometry, write ventilation, fuel type and why electric was declined. Do not convert that choice into a ranking.

Duty cycle

Lifts per hour and shift length decide whether opportunity charge, spare battery or a different powertrain needs its own quote line.

Site power

Record available voltage, phase and frequency. A truck quoted for one charger standard is not interchangeable without restating the electrical extras.

Axes to keep parallel when powertrains differ
Axis Electric brief Other power brief Must stay equal
Rated capacity kg or lb at stated load center same unit and load center Yes
Lift height mm or in plus free lift same mast class language Yes
Aisle width working aisle for four-wheel unit same building sketch Yes
Power interface battery voltage and charger fuel or other supply Named separately
Site extras charging room, electrical ventilation or fuel storage Excluded unless requested

Documents to request after a match

  • Factory specification sheet for the quoted mast and capacity basis
  • Battery or charger note with voltage and connector language
  • List of excluded freight, installation and commissioning
  • Any identity or safety marking that belongs to the quoted item

These are request items, not downloads hosted by this desk and not certificates owned by Electric Counterbalance Forklift Sourcing.

Sequence before accepting an alternative

  1. Lock the handling task

Write pallet or stillage, lift height and aisle. Power comes after the task, not before.

  2. Record available utilities

Voltage, phase, charger space or fuel rules stay on the brief even if the first factory prefers another pack.

  3. Compare extras, not headlines

A substitute powertrain that drops charger or ventilation work is not automatically the lower total cost.

  4. Verify the alternative

Ask the factory to restate capacity basis and geometry. Reject a swap that only matches a marketing name.
